So a bunch of us have Nike Free 5.0's. With the supportive insole it's a 5.0, with the lesser insole I think it goes down to 4.0 (based on a scale of 0 to 10 where 0 is barefoot (nothing) and 10 is max support). The new 3.0 therefore is less supportive than either of the inserts provided with the classic Nike Free (v1 or v2). I guess if you have no insole it might go to 3.9 or so, but that's really just a guess.
Anyhow, just from the pictures it looks like they've made a bunch of modifications. Basically it looks like the backs probably won't bust open as soon. Still 85 bucks though, so maybe I'll wait a while until it drops to 40 on ebay (or I guess, when it shows up on ebay).
If anyone decides to buy a pair, or has already bought a pair, let me know what you think.

damn... i just bought a pair of 5.0's.... oh well... I'd probably get hurt in the 3.o's anyways
