Summer Training Plans?

Okay, folks - the honeymoon's over! Now that your post-spring-term-sleeping/drinking/partying celebrations are over, I want to hear about your REAL summer plans. Where are you living? What are your running/biking/spelunking goals? I'll put down what I know and y'all can edit this post to better reflect the truth.

When Ryan Ogliore's not showing me a good time at the Tilden trails when I venture up North, he'll be doing "hill" repeats up the stairs of his building at Berkeley in between data collections.

Megumi Abe will be splitting her time between high-altitude training in Colorado and high-attitude training at her real job in downtown LA. She will find herself increasingly pressured to join KB on bike rides and easy runs.

Ian Shapiro will be embarking on longer and longer bike rides, until he is regularly riding from Pasadena to San Diego and back, but he will still find himself haunting the NF when his feet allow it. His heartbreak over the absence of Markimarkkonnen will lead him to carrying on extended conversations with himself.

Speaking of whom, Markimarkkonnen will be teaching the destitute chilluns up at Stanford how to quickly calculate mile paces, splits, and basically how to live in a base-60 (second) world. Oh yeah, and he's going to run all the grass at Stanford like it's his job.

Sachith will be devotedly wandering the desert in Tucson like some sort of brown cross between Ghandi and Forrest Gump. He and...

Dennis will probably overtrain in their eagerness and arrive at preseason like...

Kangway 2.0. Kangway, on the other hand, will be living the life of kings with a steady job at Tech that leaves him with plenty of time to sleep well, eat well, and nurse his post-Kelrof injuries into the cross season of a lifetime, as well as to accompany

KB on her Everest Challenge training rides.

Matt will be growing up more than any of us, getting pumped for grad school, waiting on Marisol hand and foot, and tubbing up on beer and burritos.

Cheesecake will also be chillin' with the females, by which of course I do mean training hard, growing out his goatee, and using his muscles and facial hair to woo the summer students. No word yet on whether these will be "ladies" or "drunk bitches".

Hahahahaha, those predictions were great.

I'll post my summer training plans on my blog sometime soon. Maybe tonight. I haven't given it enough thought.

Katherine, what's the Everest Challenge?

I will show you a good time at Tilden, with the goats at one of my favorite park attractions: The Little Farm!

Other than that I will be backpacking for a week in Glacier National Park, hopefully getting attacked by Grizzly Bears.

And missing all of you of course.

Nevermind Katherine, I'm dumb for not just clicking on the link. But now that I have, I really want to do that. That looks awesome.
