Post-Race Interview
Letsrun's Interview Here
The beginning of this one is the same as the last one, but it talks more about the race and everything else.
I think 4th in outdoors means considerably more than it did in indoors, as half the field isn't there in indoors-the better half. He did beat everyone that got him in indoors yesterday as well. Very smart and impressive run. Remember last year he finished 9th or so, but was 80m back from the top finishers. Now he was right up with them! I'm hoping he can get some good times in fast Europe races.
"it's been working for me on and off the track, you know"
looks like will is still will
I just want to point out.... SUCK ON OREGON'S JUNK, NIKE! Do you think Will's going to be getting recruited by other sponsors/teams now? Or will he stay in Oregon?
I hate to say it, Katherine, but Nike is a major supporter of Oregon and the OTC.
The whole oly trails were essentially run behind closed doors by Nike, which is really sad. The whole Goucher thing and AJ Acosta tripping himself to get into the finals. It's totally against the initial spirit of Bowerman and Pre (don't get me started on Rupp). Many DI coaches are scared to stand up because they will loose their sponsorship are face wierd and unjust sanctions. It's a shame. Thats one of the things I like about DIII, none of the corporate involvement crap.
No, the Goucher thing was legit. They filed an appeal weeks before the Trial.
Also Katherine, here's Nike for you
