Okay guys, as the start of the 2008 Beijing Olympics is tomorrow, it is now time for our California Institute of Rocking Out Olympic running predictions. I say we make our predictions now for and then figure out who wins and decide on a prize later. My suggestion is that it is 1 point per medal for each distance race (1/2 a point for a correct medaler but wrong specific medal), a bonus point if all 3 medals in an event are chosen correctly. We can do just all running events or all track and field events. Opinions? I say to keep things fair we focus on distance only, make only 1/2 the points count for 400m/4x400m and under. We can sort of assign this later as no finals are for a while. Just get predictions out of the way before the Olympics begin.

Oooh the Khachapouri sounds excellent! After the olympics we can get Khachapouri and the losers will all split the bill, minus the winner. We have a few days until track begins so you have a few more days to think about it.
Also how about Michael Phelps? Pretty ridiculous huh. It's amazing how world records fall all over the place in swimming, while in track they take forever to fall. I also don't know about calling him the greatest Olympian of all time since there is such high overlap between all of the swimming events. Nonetheless, Phelps still looks ridiculous.
